Afoodable Food Safety Policy

At Afoodable, we strive to meet our customers’ requirements and expectations by manufacturing products of the highest standards and food safety, using quality products and ingredients.

We comply with all relevant legislation and approved codes of best practice, in addition the requirements of FSSC 22000 V5.

We have developed a food safety culture based on a set of business values which is applied throughout our business to ensure we influence these behaviours. This would include handling food as if we would consume it ourselves, by doing the right things first time when nobody is watching, and influencing others to do the same. There are no compromises with regards to food safety and quality.

We establish, implement, maintain, update and continuously improve our food safety management system to ensure that our products are safe and of the highest quality.

Management will ensure that the appropriate resources, including human and financial resources, are committed towards implementing this Food Safety Policy across all our operations. All employees affecting food safety, will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge required for each activity performed, and shall be aware of their individual contribution to the effectiveness of the food safety management system.

We recognize the importance of communication with all relevant stakeholders and ensure that our policies, behaviors and standards are communicated internally to all our employees and externally to other interested parties.

Management has set clear objectives and targets against which we will measure and report on our performance. Results of measurements will be used to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Management will review this policy annually to ensure that it continues to reflect the strategic direction of Afoodable and continues to meet the needs and expectations of all interested parties.

The responsibility of food safety and quality is seen as an integral duty of every employee at Afoodable and is controlled by an internal lab with qualified food technologists. Our FSSC 22000 system was first implemented in 2018 and annually updated thereafter.

Versatile production equipment includes cooking vessels and cold emulsifiers and mixers for the preparation of specific sauces. Various fillers lines are available depending on the products with inline finishing and shrink and adhesion labelling also provided.
